Patient Billing Support Specialist

Description
As a Patient Billing Support Specialist, you'll assisting patients with their account questions and concerns. In this role, you will manage and resolve incoming and outgoing calls with care and professionalism, while ensuring patient accounts are accurate and up to date. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will help create a positive experience for every patient you support.

Duties

  • Answer incoming calls regarding patient accounts and discuss payment options.
  • Process daily self-pay and sliding fee scale tickets.
  • Work with outside vendor to resolve questions and patient disputes regarding outstanding balances.
  • Audits performed from spreadsheets to review/correct accounts for accuracy and possible refunds to patients.
  • May assist posting patient payments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 12 to 18 months of medical billing experience (preferred).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally and effectively exchange and convey information.

Compensation

  • Competitive rate starting at $18.56/hr
