Benefits & Perks

At North Country HealthCare, we believe in providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports our employees' health, well-being, and financial security. Below is an overview of the benefits available to employees.

Eligibility & Enrollment
Benefits are available to all employees working 30 hours or more per week, with coverage beginning on the date of hire. View our 2026 Benefits Guide for more details.

Health & Wellness Benefits
We offer a variety of health benefits to ensure employees and their families have access to quality care. We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. Employees also have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential counseling, legal, and financial support through Optum.

Our commitment to wellness extends beyond traditional insurance. We also offer accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance for added financial protection. Additionally, employees can contribute to Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) through HealthEquity for medical and dependent care expenses.

Retirement & Income Protection
We help employees plan for the future with a 401(k) and Roth IRA through Ameritas, offering up to a 4% employer match after one year of service. Life insurance includes $50,000 in employer-paid coverage, with voluntary options available through New York Life. For income protection, we provide employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage to eligible employees.

Work-Life Balance Benefits
We recognize the importance of time off and flexibility. Employees can earn up to seven weeks of paid time off annually, with accrual beginning on day one. Telehealth services through Teladoc offer convenient virtual medical appointments. Employees can also take advantage of various discount programs and voluntary legal and identity theft protection through LegalShield.

Clinician-Specific Benefits
We offer tailored benefits for our clinicians, including the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP), which provides up to $75,000 in student loan repayment for a two-year full-time service commitment at an NHSC-approved site. Arizona State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) assistance is also available for eligible healthcare providers in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA). Clinicians receive malpractice and tail insurance coverage at no additional cost, as well as up to $2,000 per year and 40 hours of time off for Continuing Medical Education (CME), plus up to $750 for subscriptions, journals, and dues.
